Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture,
the long version, because it’s worth it!

Who: Randy Pausch was a professor from Carnegie Mellon University and a virtual reality pioneer, human-computer interaction researcher, co-founder of CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center ( ), and creator of the Alice ( ) software project. Other videos by Randy, including downloadable versions of this and other talks, can be found at

Why: The long version is worth it! Those extraordinary people around Randy also lead and teach us by their example. The work of those around Randy, are part of his living legacy. Let Randy’s living legacy continue through your work.

Also: I have shown this to the people I love and care about. And I encourage you to do so as well.

This is one of my favorite lectures of all time. It’s filled not only with good advice, but with an excellent example of what we all should aspire too. I can lead you to the water, but I can’t make you drink. So here I invite you.

_____ ___ (your words). "You are welcome," says me.
